New water and sewer connections

Are you building a home, commercial unit or do you need an agricultural water supply?

If you would like to discuss your project or have a question before you apply, please contact us:

Overview

Water Connection

Most homes connect to a nearby water main. You'll need to connect your property to this main supply, which might involve laying a pipe.

Sewerage Connection

You can connect to the public sewer or use a septic tank or soakaway, especially in rural areas.

Water Connection

Your commercial unit will need its own water connection. The size of the connection will depend on your specific water needs.

Sewer Connection

You can connect to the public sewer or consider alternative options like septic tanks or soakaways, especially in rural areas. Any new or modified sewer connection requires our approval.

Water Connection

Apply for a standard water connection to supply a trough in a field. You'll need to lay a service pipe to the nearest water main.

Existing Supply

Connect a trough to an existing metered supply, but remember, it can't be billed separately.

Need a temporary supply

Temporary water supply

  1. Connect to the Main - We'll connect a temporary pipe from the nearest water main to your site.
  2. Your Responsibility - You'll need to install a tap and lockable box at the end of the pipe.
  1. Permanent Connection - We can convert the temporary supply into a permanent one.
  2. Disconnection - You'll need to let us know when you want the supply disconnected.

Consider hiring a standpipe as a temporary solution.

Temporary sewer supply

If you need to discharge into our sewer network on a temporary basis, you'll still need to make a sewer connection application to us.

And if you're looking to discharge anything other than domestic flows, you'll also need to contact our trade effluent team.

Please Note: You can't connect directly to the public sewer without our approval. Always ensure you have the necessary permits and follow local regulations.
