Our Regenerative Pathway Package for Farmers supports our third Get River Positive river pledge, to support others to improve and care for rivers.   

Our Regenerative Pathway Package for farmers builds on our brilliant existing scheme – Farming for Water, which we have been offering for over ten years.   

Our much-loved STEPs scheme offer grants of up to £30k to help fund up to 50% of a farmer’s project if it delivers water quality benefits. In addition, our specialist on-farm advice, delivered through our agricultural advisors, also helps farmers to understand how they can adopt more sustainable farming practices.   

Our Farming for Water scheme is only available to farmers in our priority catchments, however we are keen to redouble our effort and help more farmers, as well as enhancing the support for our priority farmers too.   

With this in mind, from 1st May 2022 we are partnering with Agreena to offer additional support through on-hand advice for farmers across our whole Severn Trent region. We are also offering financial incentives for tree planting through our Trees for Water scheme.
