Essential Maintenance Work in Ratby

We’d like to apologise to those experiencing poor or no supply in the LE6 area of Ratby this evening.
Our teams are currently carrying out some essential maintenance work and we are aware that some customer’s supplies have been impacted
We have a team on site working on the repair and are hoping to have this resolved by 10PM.

We’re really sorry if you’re still experiencing issues with your water.
We’d just like to let you know that we’re still on track to complete the repair work by 10PM.
The engineers are working extremely hard to get your supplies restored and we’ll continue to post updates here to keep you fully informed.
Customer update
Thanks to everyone for their continued support as we continue with our essential work in Ratby. We carried out some work overnight, and all supplies were back on last night.
As we continue to work in the area and look to carry out further repairs, we will keep you updated with our plans and what we'll be doing.
Our customer teams are also in the area today and have been meeting customers and checking that their water supply is fine and they have what they need. They'll also be visiting the community hub and any residents who want to speak with them.
We know there’s been issues with the water and it’s not the first time, so again we’re really sorry about this
We were due to fully replace a longer section of the pipe last night, but as this was taking longer than expected – we delayed that work so we didn’t cause any supply issues this morning and that you continue to have water throughout the day.
We are working up a repair plan to take place out of hours to cause as little impact and happen overnight and we will share that plan with you later today. Please be assured, that we will always contact you directly if there's any risk your water may go off.
Thanks again for your continued patience, we know things have been challenging and our priority is to make sure everything is back to normal for everyone, and you and your community is supported.
Planned Repair Work
Firstly, a massive thank you for your patience as we work to get everything fixed and back to normal.
As you know, we still have some work to do to fix the section of pipe but didn’t want to interrupt your water supply today, so our teams are going to complete the repair overnight, tonight.
We’ll begin the repair this evening (Sunday 4 February) and so from 10pm tonight, your water may go off for a period of time. We know how frustrating and difficult it is to be without water, even for a short time, which is why we’re going to work throughout the night.
And we have a robust plan in place to complete the repair so your water supply is back on before you wake up tomorrow morning.
Our customer teams have been out and about in the community today and have hopefully spoken to most residents who may be affected tonight, and we’ll send a text message this evening to confirm what we’re doing.

We completed repairs last night, and the water supply was back to normal for everyone first thing this morning.
