Severn Trent begins sewer network upgrades in Kinsham Village

Severn Trent has started a £550k upgrade to the sewer network in Kinsham village.
The water and waste company will improve 1500m of existing sewers, install 20m of new sewers and make necessary repairs to manholes to protect against future sewer flooding in the area.
The work started on January 10 and will take place on Cheltenham Road, before moving on to Watery Lane, Chapel Lane and Lower Lane.The project is due to be completed by April.
To keep Severn Trent engineers and other road users safe, temporary traffic lights and road closures will be in place throughout the duration of the project.
Shannon Currall from Severn Trent said: “Every so often, we need to carry out essential upgrade works on our sewer network and we with the aim of reducing the number of flooding incidents.
“This is why we are investing a significant amount of money in Kinsham village to make sure local residents don’t experience this in the future.
“We apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused and we’ll be doing everything we can to minimise any disruption during this essential work.”
