Monday 7 February 2022
Severn Trent has completed a £274,000 project to construct a new sewer in Gobowen.
The water and waste company installed the new sewer to solve recent flooding issues on Fernhill Lane.
Work started on 22 November 2021 and was completed on time, with the new sewer running from Severn Trent’s pumping station in Gobowen, along the access track to the highway, connecting to the existing system for 100m along Fernhill Lane.
Catherine Webb, from Severn Trent, said: “We’ve invested a significant amount of money in Gobowen to ensure local residents don’t experience flooding issues in the future.
“We’d like to thank the local community for their patience and understanding during this project.”
