Wednesday 15 December 2021

Severn Trent has delivered a £6.5 million project to upgrade water pipes in The Severn Ham, Tewkesbury.

The water and waste company has replaced almost 1.6 miles of water pipes under the Severn Ham with brand new ones to provide the area with a reliable and more resilient water supply.

Shannon Currall, of Severn Trent, said: “We’d like to thank the local community for their patience and understanding throughout this project, which began in April earlier this year.

“We’re delighted to have finished this essential work, which included plans to upgrade 1.6 miles of new water pipes, to ensure the local area has a resilient water supply for years to come.

“Our teams will be back in Spring once the weather improves to return the area back to normal.”

Severn Trent teams will return to the area in Spring 2022 to return the area back to normal, including the removal of the stone access road, and the reinstatement of the topsoil.
