Severn Trent invites customers to drop-in session ahead of £2.4m Keyworth project
Wednesday 4 January 2023
Severn Trent is inviting customers in Keyworth to a drop-in session to learn about an upcoming £2.4m project that will replace aging water pipes in the area.
The project will be carried out in phases, with the first phase starting on Monday 23 January on Station Road close to the railway bridge. Work will then progress along Station Road towards Nicker Hill, with the project expected to be completed by mid-July.
A drop in session where customers can find out more about the project and ask questions will take place on Wednesday 11 January at Keyworth United Community Football Club, Platt Lane, NG12 5NZ from 3:30pm to 6:30pm.
Rebecca Ball, community communications officer said: “Our drop-in sessions provide a great opportunity for customers to ask us any questions about the project. Customer feedback is really important to us, and we look forward to meeting our customers in Keyworth to discuss these network upgrades and how they will benefit the local community for generations to come.
“In order to keep both the engineers and other road users safe, and for us to complete our work as quickly as possible, there will be a road closure in place as well as temporary traffic lights at junctions where the closure is located. We'll close the road in sections and a signposted diversion will be in place as a route around the working area – we’d like to thank everyone in advance for their patience and understanding whilst we carry out this work.”
Customers may see Severn Trent engineers in the fields nearby from 9 January as the company prepares to start work.
