Seven Trent reminds residents in Arnesby to attend drop-in session ahead of £3m package of works
15th August 2022
Severn Trent is inviting customers in Arnesby and surrounding villages to find out more about a planned seven-month programme of infrastructure upgrade works that are due to start in the Leicestershire town later this month.
Residents will have the opportunity to view the plans and speak with members of the team at the Arnesby Baptist Church, St Peter’s Road, Arnesby, Leicester LE8 5WJ on Tuesday 16th August from 3pm until 6.30pm.
The £3 million programme will see the replacement of water pipes, which will ensure the continued supply of water to the community for years to come.
Work will start on 31 August near to Gallops Farm and will continue along Welford Road to the junction with Leicester Road. The programme is due to complete by the middle of March 2023.
Lisa Orme from Severn Trent said: “Our drop-in sessions provide a great opportunity for customers to ask us any questions about the work and for us to find out more about the area. Customer feedback is really important to us, and we look forward to meeting residents to discuss these network upgrades which will ensure a continued supply of clean, safe water to the community.
“Due to the nature of the work and to ensure the safety of our teams and other road users, we will be putting in place some traffic management measures, these will include temporary road closures.
“Our teams will be completing the works as quickly and safely as possible. Any customer whose water supply will be impacted during the works will be contacted directly and we will be aiming to complete the works and have everything back to normal as quickly as possible.”
Anyone who has any questions about the work but is unable to attend the event can contact Lisa Orme at Severn Trent on 07790 845234.
