Severn Trent seeks the views of customers in social purpose report
Wednesday 11th December 2019
Severn Trent is seeking the views of its customers as part of a new consultation launched today setting out how it can best support the communities it serves.
Working with The Purposeful Company, the report outlines Severn Trent’s pioneering approach to creating a clear, long-term purpose that benefits society, helping to guide each decision it makes.
It explains the broader range of measures the water company is taking, or plans to take, in order to become a company that is socially purposeful by asking - what proposals have we got right? What could be improved – and how? Is there anything we are missing?
Liv Garfield, Severn Trent Chief Executive, said:“I’m really excited by this new consultation we’ve launched, with support from The Purposeful Company, to understand how we can best support the communities we serve, now and for many years to come.
“To make sure we get it absolutely right, we want to hear from the people that matter the most – our customers.
“Our customers rightly expect us to be a company they can trust. Providing a safe, reliable and affordable service is vital, but for many this isn’t enough. They want to know that we do the right things for the right reasons. We hope this consultation will help us achieve this.”
The launch of the consultation builds on an industry-leading two-year programme of customer engagement, as part of Severn Trent’s 2020-25 business plan, aimed at understanding its customers better and finding out what matters most to them.
Severn Trent customers have until Friday 17 January to give their feedback by visiting this survey or emailing ourfutureplans@severntrent.co.uk
The final approach is expected to be published in spring 2020.
