Severn Trent to start final phase of £1.8m Kiveton Park waste network update
19th July 2023
Severn Trent is preparing to start work on the final phase of its £1.8 million project to improve the waste network around Kiveton Park.
The final £115,000 investment will see a series of connecting works taking place and is due to start on Monday 24th July, with work expected to be completed within two weeks.
Rebecca Ball, community communications officer at Severn Trent, said: "As our pipes get older, they can become less reliable, so it’s really important that we ensure the network is in the best possible condition.
“While the main phase of these renewal works was completed last summer, we're due to start work on the final section shortly which will ensure that the waste network in the area is really reliable and is ready to meet future demands, such as a growing population.”
Due to the locations of the works and for the safety of the teams and other road users, some traffic management will be in place, with access to homes and businesses maintained at all times through a signed diversion route.
Rebecca said: “We know that roadworks can be inconvenient but they’re really important to keep everyone safe and help to make sure we can complete the works as quickly as possible. We would like to thank everyone in advance for their patience and apologise for any disruption while we complete this upgrade.”
