Severn Trent to teach traditional skills at Tittesworth Water
28th September 2017
Severn Trent will be holding two events at Tittesworth Water in October to teach local people some traditional life skills.
The first takes place on Saturday 7 October between 10am and 3pm and will give people the chance to build a stool or make spoons in the woods. All materials, equipment and gloves will be provided.
Then on Sunday 8 October there’s an opportunity to learn hedge laying with the local rangers between 10am and 3pm. All tools, equipment and gloves will be provided but anyone wishing to take part will need to bring suitable outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear.
Andrew Maryland, one of the rangers at Tittesworth Water, said: “These days will be great opportunities for people to have some fun and learn some traditional skills from our team of rangers.
“We have an amazing site at Tittesworth Water and we’d encourage anyone who wants to get involved to book their place as soon as possible.”
The cost to reserve a spot for either day is £40, to book your place call 01538 300 188 or email andrew.maryland@severntrent.co.uk.
Our Severn Trent's visitor site will have all the information you need about our visitor centres including activities and facilities.
