Work to install new pipe in Dursley begins this week
Monday 15th July 2019
Severn Trent will be carrying out essential work to upgrade its waste network in Gloucestershire this week, following recent damage to a sewer pipe in Dursley.
Work will begin from Monday 15th July on Woodfield Road, Dursley, with a temporary road closure in place for five days.
Gareth Mead from Severn Trent, said: “Unfortunately, a stretch of waste pipe along Woodfield Road recently collapsed, which means we’ve got to get out there and install a new piece, replacing approximately 10 metres.
“In order to keep our teams, pedestrians and road users safe, we need to close the length of road we’re working on for five days.
“We understand this will inconvenience the local community, but we’re doing everything we can to install the new pipe and return the road back to normal as quickly as possible. We’d like to thank everyone in advance for their patience and understanding while we carry out this vital work.”
