Our new exhibition

Come and immerse yourself and the family in our Wonderful World of Water.

At the exhibition you will be able to learn the following:

  • Where your water comes from.
  • How water gets to your house.
  • What we do to take care of water.
  • Steps you can follow to help save water.

The exhibition is separated by zones with each zone containing a fun hands-on experience.

Zone A - Wonderful Water

From dinosaur pee to Julius Caesar’s bathwater- do you know where your water may have been?

Come and discover how amazing our water is and learn where it may have been on its journey.

We haven’t always had sewage systems to take away your toilet paper- people used to have to use really unusual things to wipe their bottoms….yuk! Come and find out what ingenious items people have used to wipe their bottoms in the past.

Zone B - We are Severn Trent

It takes a whole team of Severn Trent superstars to keep your water flowing, working tirelessly day and night, every day of the year to make sure water gets to you and is taken away.

Did you know we have over 147,00km of pipes (waste and fresh water) that need to be looked after- that’s enough to go around the world 23 times!

Come and dress up as a Severn Trent superstar, learn all about how we take care of your water and even create your own ball run to get water from water treatment works to homes and then to our sewage treatment works!

Zone C - Our Watery World

How can taking care of nature help to take care of our water and what do we do to give nature a helping hand?

From beavers to catchment management- learn all about how crucial nature is for our water and how you can help at home too. 

Zone D - Water and You

How much water does filling a bath use compared to having a shower?

What are some of the disgusting things we have found in our sewers?

Learn all about how what you do can have a huge impact on our wonderful water and some of the little changes you can make at home to protect our water……..you can visit the fatberg hall of fame or sift through our goo box….yuk!

Zone E - The Future of Water

A growing population and climate change are having an impact on our water supply, we all need to work together to ensure that we have access to clean, fresh water for years to come.
