Your communities are full of inspiring projects working tirelessly to make a positive impact. Now, it’s your chance to recognise their contributions! Vote for the nominees in our NeighbourGOOD scheme and help us support the projects that put community first.
The winning project in each county will receive an extraordinary boost from a team of up to 20-30 Severn Trent volunteers, who will work side-by-side with them for two days, giving each project the hands-on support it needs to thrive. Plus, each winning project will receive up to £2,500 to support both the volunteer efforts and the project itself, ensuring a positive impact across our region.

Whether it’s a local project in your neighbourhood or an inspiring initiative from a neighbouring county, your vote will help decide who wins.

Martineau Mondays provide free, weekly outdoor activities such as mindfulness walks, Tai Chi, and green woodworking near Birmingham City Centre. These sessions help locals connect with nature and each other, enhancing mental and physical health.

The Caves Pool Nature Rescue
Wrens Nest NNR: Community and Wildlife
The Friends of Wrens Nest NNR are a dedicated group of 150 members who have a goal to rejuvenate the Caves Pool area. This will enhance biodiversity, and offer educational pond dipping sessions to benefit not only the wildlife but the local community too.

The Smestow Valley wetland restoration project aims to boost biodiversity and community well-being by clearing vital habitats for rare species and repairing a bridge, whilst also providing a great experience for Eco Club pupils.

Creating a Wellness Garden for Homeless Residents at NFNO
NFNO provides safe housing for homeless individuals, and they’re developing a wellness garden to support residents’ mental health. They’re seeking support to add storage and shelter areas, creating a tranquil outdoor space where residents can find peace and gather strength in difficult times.

Burlish Bike Park and Outdoor Community Centre
Maintaining Burlish Bike Park for Community Enjoyment
Opened in July 2023, Burlish Bike Park is an active site with over 5,000 riders in its first year. By March, they plan to resurface trails, remove invasive plants, and enhance car park and forest areas. Volunteers are needed to help meet community demand and maintain the park’s sustainability.

The Bungalow Project
Creating a Therapeutic Space at Blessed Edward Oldcorne Catholic College
This project plans to turn a former caretaker’s bungalow into a safe, supportive space for students with attendance challenges. The outdoor garden will serve as a therapeutic area where students can care for animals and grow vegetables. Funding and volunteer help are needed to transform the garden with raised beds, paved paths, and trimmed hedges.
